Easter Seals - Brad May Celebrity Hockey Tournament
For the fourth year running, the Jonathan Brown Foundation has proudly supported the Easter Seals – Brad May Celebrity Hockey Tournament. Our ongoing contributions to this event reflect our shared commitment to helping young warriors and their families. We believe in Easter Seals Ontario’s mission to provide quality services, life-changing programs, and advocacy for those they serve. It is an honour to stand alongside their dedicated team, donors, and volunteers in making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people across the province.

JBF Joins Sarcoma Strong
On August 11, 2024, the Jonathan Brown Foundation was proud to participate in Sarcoma Strong 2024, a 5K run/walk held in Hamilton, Ontario. This meaningful event, organized by Dr. Michelle Ghert’s orthopaedic oncology research team, raises critical funds and awareness for sarcoma, a rare and aggressive tissue cancer that affects bones and muscles. Dr. Ghert was part of Jonathan’s care team, making this cause especially close to our hearts. We were honoured to support this important initiative and continue to stand alongside those fighting sarcoma and the dedicated researchers working toward better outcomes.
Jonny’s Gold Runners - Shoppers Drug Mart Run For Women
Jonny’s Gold Runners will once again take part in The Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women supporting mental health services in the community.
June Matching Campaign
For the month of June, JBF will match every dollar donated up to $20,000 in support of Keaton’s House - Paul Paletta Children’s Hospice.

The Jonathan Brown Foundation, together with SisterAct, a community-focused non-profit group help raise over $6,850 for Eagles Nest Waterdown.
Jonny's Gold Ribbon Hockey Game
The inaugural hockey game took place on Dec. 28th, 2023 in Carlisle, Ontario. Over 30 of Jonathan’s friends and family attended the game and post-game party. All proceeds raised were donated to Youth Unlimited Waterdown.
We look forward to hosting this event for many years to come!

Jonny’s Gold Ribbon Gala
The Inaugural "Jonny's Gold Ribbon Gala" was held on October 15th, 2022 (exactly one year after Jonny left us). The event, featuring live and silent auctions, as well as various entertainment, was in support of McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation (MCHF). All funds raised went directly to the new Paediatric Oncology Clinic renovation and expansion campaign.
We are proud to report that the event raised $230K for MCHF!
